2 Put one word after another. Find the right word, put it down.

3 Finish what you’re writing. Whatever you have to do to finish it, finish it.

4 Put it aside. Read it pretending you’ve never read it before. Show it to friends whose opinion you…

I Always Mean What I Say.

Why would I say it if I didn’t mean it?

To gain favor? I believe respect is earned and it’s not earned by being deceitful.

I also believe that if you don’t have anything good to say, then don’t say anything at all. The Golden Rule.

For example: I’ve been on YouTube for a few years now. There are a lot of people there that have gained large followings. Do I find them all entertaining? Certainly not. Now, of course, maybe I’m just not hip enough to get their type of humor. (Very large possibility.) Do I go out of my way to say negative things about them all? Of course not. I believe that there is an audience for everyone and everything. One person’s art is another person’s garbage and vice versa.

Plus, I’m not a very negative person. The most disparaging I would say is “It’s just not for me.” Now, if you want to try and extract or read between the lines, so be it. Think/believe what you will but I always mean what I say.

Fun part:  If you reblog this (do not spam) we will be selecting one of you randomly to get a free set.

When we tell stories about creativity, we tend to leave out this phase. We neglect to mention those days when we wanted to quit, when we believed that our problem was impossible. Instead, we skip straight to the breakthrough. We tell the happy ending first. The danger of this scenario is that the act of feeling frustrated is an essential part of the creative process. Before we can find the answer — before we can even know the question — we must be immersed in disappointment, convinced that a solution is beyond our reach. We need to have wrestled with the problem and lost. Because it’s only after we stop searching that an answer may arrive.
